on Thursday from 5.30 pm to 7 pm

Come and stay as long as the bread is baking in the peasant ovenof the tradional house of haute Marne. Put the bread in the oven and take it out and....if it smells good, go back home with your leavened bread, baked as it was in time gone by.

With Marie-Pierre from " Gens de pays, Guides de Terroirs", you will learn all along the day, the art of the sourdough bread making and bake it in a traditional wood oven. You'll understand how benefical for your health is organic flour and natural sourdough.
You’ll see practices from the old time that might sound like some of the daily realities

3 animations will be offered to you, fitted to your needs and requests.

Open from April, every first weekend of the month: you just have to book by e-mail or phone.

At the rythm of the bread, living matter, every day follows the same schedule:
hand kneading of the dough - first rise- shaping - second rise – heating up the oven – Washing  the oven – putting the bread into the oven – baking  - Take the bread out of the oven -  Go back home with an awesome bread to eat!

During the rises of the dough, we will talk about the making of surdought... and the way to build a bread oven


During the rises of the dough, we’ll choose all together some activities that fit for the majority: cooking or handcraft. However, activities will be chosen in order to be interactive between generations.

You provide your own food but a snack will be given to you
 

During the rises of the dough, we will do some workshops around themes like: flour, oven, 'salt dough modelling' …
The children will go home with a handbook summarising the themes of the day (the 5 senses and the 4 elements).

Please, bring your lunch. A snack will be given.
